About the Role

As an Operations Manager at The Laundry Hub, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the daily activities of our laundry facility. You will need to develop efficient procedures, manage a team, and ensure that high-quality standards are consistently met. In this role, you'll also play a key part in improving productivity and controlling costs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management

• Develop and implement efficient operational procedures and workflows.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
• Manage laundry equipment and ensure it performs optimally.
• Ensure that operations run smoothly to meet customer demands on time.

2. Team Management

• Lead, train, and develop a high-performing team of laundry technicians and customer service staff.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and give feedback to team members.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and efficient working environment.

3. Data Collection and Analysis

• Operational Data: Track and monitor daily performance metrics such as the number of loads processed, machine usage, staff productivity, and turnaround times.
• Quality Metrics: Monitor the quality of garments after washing and ironing, and track customer complaints, lost or damaged items.
• Cost Analysis: Track expenses related to labour, utilities, chemicals, and equipment maintenance.
• Inventory Management: Maintain detergent, chemicals, and linen stock levels to ensure smooth operations.
• Machine Efficiency: Analyze machine performance, including downtime, repair costs, and energy usage.

4. Budget and Cost Management

• Budget Analysis: Track actual expenditures versus the allocated budget for labour, materials, and equipment, and propose corrective actions if needed.
• Cost per Load: Calculate and optimize the cost per laundry load by managing detergent use, electricity consumption, and machine maintenance.
• Profitability Analysis: Ensure the profitability of the laundry operations by analyzing revenue versus operational costs.

5. Performance Reporting

• Staff Performance: Track and report on staff productivity, focusing on the number of loads processed, adherence to schedules, and quality of work.
• Equipment Performance: Report on machine maintenance schedules, repairs, and overall performance to ensure the facility runs smoothly.

Qualifications and Skills

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is required.
• Experience:
  • At least 5 years of experience in operations management (Laundry or Fashion industry experience preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse or laundry operations.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
• Deep understanding of laundry processes and how to maximize efficiency in a large-scale facility.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Pay and Benefits

• Salary: AED 8,000 – AED 12,000 per month (based on experience).
