Senior Network Engineer | Salary: Up to 18,000 AED | Job Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in network and security management, along with a solid background in IT incident resolution and service management.

Job Description:

• Responsibilities:

  • Address and resolve IT incidents and service requests; log all incidents and requests using the appropriate service categories in the IT Service Management tool.
  • Report on incident resolution and monitor Service Level requirements and achievements. Ensure proper recording, documentation, and closure within the IT Service Management system.
  • Design and implement LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi networks, IP Telephony solutions including voice gateways.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and support networking software, equipment, and devices, including patches and feature releases and upgrades. Perform Moves, Adds, Changes, and Deletes in configuration and equipment as per change control procedures.
  • Coordinate with IT Service Desk and document network and security issues and their resolution.
  • Administer Network and Security equipment including:
    • Network Switches and Routers
    • Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention, and VPN systems
    • Network Load Balancers, Web Application Firewalls
    • Network Access Control
    • IP Telephony and Voice gateways

• Technical Skills:

  • Extensive experience with new generation firewalls from Fortinet and Palo Alto.
  • Proficiency in network technologies from Cisco, Huawei, Aruba networks Clearpass & Airwaves, and Cisco IP Telephony solutions.
  • Ability to use Wireless Network Maintenance and Troubleshooting tools.
  • Analyze results and logs from network and security devices, system event reports, and provide appropriate assessment reports.
  • Working experience with network scanning tools (NMAP).
  • Knowledge of network protocols (TCP-IP, NetBios), routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP), and data communication equipment (switches, routers).
  • Expertise in specific technologies such as Wireless, load balancing, SSL acceleration, encryption tools, and certificates.
  • Proficient with troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, Fluke Optiview, Airmagnet, Clearsight) and network management tools (SNMP, CiscoWorks, RMon, OpManager, Sniffer).
  • Familiarity with firewall technologies (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper).
