Description:

As Head of Motor underwriting, to ensure the risks of individual and motor fleet are underwritten in accordance with the Orient underwriting philosophy. Should Consults with Functional Unit Leader on Underwriting strategy to enable achievement of Underwriting business plans. Operationalizes an underwriting business strategy through active engagement with internal and external stakeholders utilizing market and industry data to drive decision making. Implements risk appetite changes based on relevant internal and external data.

Job Responsibilities:

Motivate, train and develop the assigned staff in order to optimize their performance and ensure achievement of the specific objectives in an efficient manner with a high degree of professionalism.Responsible for performance and talent management.Leads automation and digitalization.To ensure timely and accurate preparation of policy documents and customer TAT are maintained at all times.

Job Requirements:

Holding university degree and other general insurance qualificationsMust have 10 years of work experience, at least 4 years of which is in a Senior Managerial position handling Motor Insurance preferably Underwriting both individual and fleet.Advanced knowledge of line of business and the legal and regulatory guidelinesAbility to multi-task
